Eligibility

Artists over the age of 18 may submit images of representative garments for jury consideration. Garments must contain mostly silk, which has been painted, dyed or embellished with surface design techniques by the artist. Costumes and accessories are also eligible.

All work should be of original concept and executed by the artists within the last 2 years. Collaborations are encouraged and should be indicated in the submission.

Images

To streamline the jurying process, we are requesting that all images submitted should be in digital form.  They can be submitted on a CD or as an attachment to an email.

Images should accurately represent the artists work and be of good, clear quality.  Poor quality images are more likely to be eliminated during the jury process. Each image should be no greater than 2 Mbytes in size.

Submissions

The entry fee is $15.00 per garment/ensemble.

Submissions must include the artist’s name, address, and either an email address or a contact phone number (both would be great). It may also include a 100 word artist’s statement relating to the work you are submitting. Each image must include a title and a description of materials and techniques. If you are mailing your entry form please include a self-addressed stamped envelope if you want your materials returned.

Schedule

The deadline for entries, which should contain:

·         your completed entry form(s)

·         representative images of your work

is 5:00 pm CST on Monday, June 23, 2008. Notification to all artists by early July, 2008.

Delivery and Pick-up

All accepted work must be received in Santa Fe by Monday July 21, 2008. Work will be available for pickup by the artist after the August 9 fashion show. Please contact Lindaearthdreams@aol.com you have any questions.

All costs, including insurance, shipping, delivery, pick-up, and return of work, are the artist’s responsibility.

Information on shipping, delivery, and pick-up will be sent to all accepted artists.
