Course Description:

As one of the worlds leading professional silk painters, Paula has developed techniques for painting Portraits on silk to finally allow silk painting to be exhibited in the UK alongside traditional oil and pastel painted portraits. Her portraits capture an essence of their subjects that only this medium can allow, and with 20 years experience as a silk painter and teacher, Paula is now able to pass on some of her techniques for those ready for the challenge. Using water based silk paints that only need ironing to fix, effects can be achieved to master the art of portrait painting. This course is only for students with an aptitude for drawing portraits, but not necessarily on silk.
